"The baskets are made of thin veneering and are represented by fig 1. They are hexagonal and three and a half inches deep and four and a half inches in diameter. Three pieces, each nearly two inches wide, and eight and a half inches long, cross at the bottom, are slightly split at the side, and are secured at the top by narrow strips passing around on each side the upright piece,s and fastened by small nails."
