I finished, or mostly finished, my flounced sheer and was able to use it for an event last weekend. Here it is:
We are currently pretending that this is silk. If it stays a silk dress, I can
use it as a canvas dress and attach my lace to each of the flounces as well as
the collar and sleeve flounces.
If it decides to become a cotton dress
(as it truly is), it will have wonderful orange and yellow block printed flowers
with green leaves.
The dress is made of navy voile over white cotton. The bodice has a half high attached lining and hook and eye closure. The collar is lawn, the neck ribbon is silk and the sleeves are cotton organdy tube sleeves with a double flounce.
